We recently held our second MumHeart Conference here in the NT. Our theme was Redeeming the time. We didn’t realise how fitting this theme would be. With all that is happening in the world around us, it seems that God was preparing us for the weeks us with this conference.
We arrived on Friday night at the beautiful Dundee Beach near Darwin. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset while waiting for our dinner. Darwin sunsets are some of the best in the world!
Saturday we heard from three ladies who shared what God laid on their heart about our theme, “Redeeming the Time.” Each lady brought us God’s Word from a different perspective but it all tied together so wonderfully. Every lady shared the quote, “Only one life, ’twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last,” by CT Studd.
In the afternoon, our friend Jeanette hosted a beautiful High Tea. Jeanette provided us with not only beautiful food to eat, but also created a beautiful atmosphere where we could just sit back, relax, and take a moment to simply enjoy one another’s company.
We finished the night with dinner and the movie, “Mum’s Night Out.” It was a very fitting movie for our theme. Then on Sunday we had a beautiful time of worship and our final session. It was such a lovely weekend being able to spend time with women of all ages, to fellowship, to learn from one another, to encourage each other, and to spend time in the Word with one another. While we all love our family dearly, it is so important to take some time out to have our cups filled and be refreshed in the Word. I left feeling encouraged, inspired, and refreshed.
We are living in very uncertain and unknown days, we have been given some much needed time to be at home with our families. I pray that we will take advantage of this extra time and REDEEM it for the Lord.
We encourage mums in a geographical area to gather together and build relationship and support with each other. This of course is looking different at the moment with Covid-19 lockdowns and limitations.
