Mum Heart all-day retreat

Our 2020 All-day Retreat theme will be “Time to Homeschool”.  This will be both a practical and heart based theme as we look at how we use time well and in particular how we use time to make the most of our homeschooling.

Our All-Day Retreat has some extras that we want you to carefully consider.  This is different than previous conferences so please read all the details to make the most of your time with Mum Heart.

In the past, mums always say they want more time to connect with each other during conference so we have planned some great times of fellowship over meals.  Your Retreat ticket includes Saturday Lunch but you can optimise your Retreat Experience by picking up some Optimise Tickets. (Read more about Optimise Tickets under the Ticket details)

 

  • The Mum Heart Retreat is a time to encourage the hearts of Christian homeschool mums.
  • The Retreat Ticket covers attendance, morning and afternoon tea and lunch on Saturday.  (Saturday Dinner is not included.)
  • You will be able to indicate dietary requirements as you purchase your ticket.
  • Conference covers one mum only.  No children except young babies. No child minding facilities are available.
  • Full Retreat ticket $110, with early bird discount ($90) available until 31/3/20
    Ticket sales close 6/6/20 (no exception)
  • Breakfast, Evening meals, accommodation and transport are not included in this price
  • Feel free to invite your friends, and promote the conference in any networks you are involved in.  If using social media please use our hashtag: #mumheartau

Optimise Tickets:

 We really do encourage you to make the most of every opportunity to connect with like-hearted mums.  Start saving now so you can book accommodation as well as the Retreat.

OPTIMISE tickets are only available to those coming to the All-Day Retreat.  

 

Optimise Tickets are:

  •       Friday night Girls Night Out/Dessert night
  •       Saturday Breakfast @ Hotel Clipper, and
  •       Sunday Breakfast @ Hotel Clipper

 

Optimise Tickets are an opportunity for you to build the All Day Retreat into a fuller experience. 

These Optimise Tickets are available to you whether you stay onsite or not. 

There is no upfront costs for an Optimise Ticket – you will pay for any food you order as you order on the day/night.  The benefit of grabbing an Optimise Ticket early is you ensure our venues can accommodate you for the event.

Staying Overnight

There is also the opportunity to book into The Clipper overnight to make a weekend of it.  Belinda and some of the other Mentor Mums will be taking advantage of these extra times so they invite you to join them to stay overnight, and for the Optimise Breakfast. 

Sunday Breakfast:

There is no programme for Sunday – so those who stay overnight can linger and mingle and connect for as long as they are free to do so!

Since accommodation is not covered by conference ticket, if you want to stay overnight we encourage you to book as soon as you can. If you are coming with a friend, please only one of you book accommodation. If you need a roommate, see below.

We have arranged a special Mum Heart Conference rate for you. Prices are per room, even if only one person in room but can have up to two people.  Delegates are to input mumheart into the promo code when booking accommodation on the hotel website. This will bring up their special room rate and breakfast deal for our event.

For those who joined us in 2019 – we will continue with a Key Speaker and small groups led by Mentor Mums.  This style enabled the experience of the Mentor Mums to connect more one to one, and allowed for a more interactive experience.

 

Belinda Letchford will be our Key Speaker – sharing several short presentations with plenty of time for engagement.

 

Saturday Night will be a mixed programme – TBC 

As you buy your ticket you will be asked to fill in registration details such as dietary requirements etc.  

Once your payment is processed you will receive a Receipt from Paypal, a Confirmation from Mum Heart and your Optimise Tickets.  Emails often end up in your Promotions or Junk inbox – so please check there if you can’t see them within 15 minutes of finalising your payment.  If you have any questions please email Belinda at  mumheartinfo@gmail.com

Conference Desk will be open 5.30-6.30pm Friday night and then again 8.00-8.30am on Saturday morning for you to touch base and collect anything you need for the day.

FAQ

What meals are provided?
Your conference ticket includes Saturday morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

 Once you have purchased your ticket, you will be given an opportunity to indicate your dietary needs for lunch on the Registration form.

What happens for Dinner on Saturday night?
The Hotel Clipper offers a great menu and space for us to dine together or there are other food venues in short walking distance.
I'm coming on my own, how do I go about finding a room mate?

What is happening Friday night?
Kick start the weekend with a Girls Night Out – join us for dessert and time to meet friends and talk about all things homeschool. (Get your Optimise Friday Night ticket)
Will there be any free time?
All sessions are optional, so you can take a walk along the beach or take a nap anytime. Though our event is a day away from home and we hope you go home refreshed it is also a time to learn so we encourage you to make the most of every session when you can. There will be some times of reflection sprinkled throughout the day to allow you time to process what you’ve learned, chat with others and refresh your mum heart.

Meal times are particularly a great time to connect, network and share with others.  Don’t miss these planned social times.

I have a baby, can I come?
Yes, you are most welcome to come and bring your breastfeeding/bottle feeding baby with you, however there will not be childcare available.
Can my family come?
Though the conference is only for Mums, your family can come and enjoy the location while you attend the conference. You can book accommodation for your family and let them enjoy time together in Rockingham.
Will there be vendors?
No. There will be no vendors selling homeschool materials.
What if I change my mind and can't come in the end?
Unfortunately, due to contracts with the venue, we cannot offer a refund after 6/6/20
Will tickets be available at the door?
No, once again, due to the venue needing confirmed numbers ticket sales will close 6/6/20.  There will be no door sales.
